People unhappy over Horse and Hounds’ new campaign
The ‘Stop the madness initiative’ is receiving tremendous support from MPs and other members from the conservative party. The initiative is also gaining enough momentum.
The initiative was first started by Horse and Hounds.
It was started to prohibit people from HGV driving for leisurely purposes. According to this move, only full time HGV drivers will be permitted to drive a HGV.
The Vehicle Operator Services Agency has fruitfully re-instated a law which prohibits employed people from driving a HGV during weekends.
Many people have expressed their displeasure pertaining to this new law. They feel it will curb their leisurely HGV driving activities. They are also encouraging other outraged individuals to come forward to fight this new ban.
Thus, full-time employees can no more enjoy HGV driving, for pass-the-time purposes.
MP’s have discussed the issue with the Department for Transport. However, the DfT has advised people to seek one day off before the horse races to ensure a full-day rest period.
This response has been met with a furious reaction from Wally French.
According to him, the entire prospect of taking leave from work and driving horses in a HGV is totally absurd and unbelievable.
Those against the ban have decided to continue their persistent efforts to compel the Government to change the law.
