After regular queries from residents, the police have warned HGV drivers for illegal parking of their lorries. The drivers have been warned and the police will issue fixed penalty notices to them, if it is necessary.

Police officers said that, the HGV drivers have been parking up at night in Middlewich, Cheshire which causes damage and creates traffic hazards. PCSO Roger Need said that, firstly they will inform the drivers about it. They are also going to get some posters and flyers to inform the HGV drivers about the issue.

It is reported that the lorries have been parked on the wrong side of the road or alongside corners and bends. Residents say that the drivers leave the bottles, cans and they also urinate in the bushes.
Middlewich is not heavily populated so it causes problems for the residents who live there, said Mr. Need. He also said that, they want to actively resolve the problem through co-operation with the lorry drivers and if needs be they will use enforcement procedures.

He further said that, drivers are human beings and sometimes they tend to forget and make mistakes, so the public needs to be confident and approach them. He also wants the support of the public to help the police in solving the problem.
