Are you one of the many people who have always wanted to be a lorry driver since you were a child? If yes, then it is high time you took up the option of being a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) driver.

All HGV drivers get to travel across the UK and Europe, so if you like to travel to different places, this job is for you. Moreover, the pay is very good. If you have made up your mind to become a HGV driver then you need to get a license first. Going to a driving school will not only teach you to drive a lorry but will also train you for your license test.

The first thing you need to do is, to see if you are applicable to get a license for a HGV. You need to be above the age of 18, to apply for a license for a heavy goods vehicle. Moreover, you should already possess a standard driving license.

If you have eye problems, or have any health issues then you might not be applicable for the HGV license. A complete medical checkup is done to ensure that you are fit and healthy.

There are two types of tests, one is theory and the other is practical. Thus, enrolling yourself in a HGV driving school will give you the confidence not only to drive a lorry, but will also prepare you for the theory test that is conducted when you go to obtain your license.
