RT Keedwell secure £20m deal
Good news for RT Keedwell Group, the Somerset firm has just signed a deal with H+H UK. The deal will see new haulage work from H+Hs’ base in Pollington, East Yorkshire and is expected to bring in revenue of £20 million for the haulage company over the next three years.
RT Keedwell will take over from BDS haulage and ETS Supply chain. As a result of the deal they will use an extra 55 vehicles to deliver H+H products including the many different types of building blocks the firm produce.
The Highbridge based operator’s group director Jon White stated:
“It is particularly pleasing that we won the tender against some very big names.”
It is expected that the haulier will have to move 120 loads every day from the factory at Pollington. It will use its current curtainsiders to do most of the work and use the crane-equipped fleet to deliver the goods to customers.
Jon White further stated:
“You can’t afford to have crane-equipped vehicles running all over the country these days.”
It’s good news for RT Keedwell who will most likely need to recruit to meet their new objectives. And in turn this is good news for HGV drivers and HGV driver training schools.
