To facilitate the expansion of their Knowhow side of their business, Dixons Retail has just announced that they are going to purchase 123 vehicles bodies from The Cartwright Group.

The order for the new vehicles will see Dixons take their Knowhow concept to the next level. As part of the deal Cartwright will supply 3.5 tonne aerodynamic rigid box van bodies which will be fitted to an Iveco chassis.
The group sales director at Cartwright, Darren Holland, stated:

“We are delighted with this major order from VMS for such a prestigious high street retailer.”

Having launched this spring, Knowhow handles the delivery of goods for PC World, Currys and Dixons brands. The group hopes the new service will improve customer satisfaction levels and provide excellent after-sales support.

All the vehicles are being supplied by the retailer, but the two man crews who will drive the vehicles and deliver the goods are being operated under a franchisee agreement.

Cartwright is based in Altrincham, Cheshire and is a family run vehicle body builder. They also have a rental arm to their business and have a fleet of around 8,000 trailers available to hire.
