Pink HGV raises cancer awareness
Katem Logistics has painted one of their HGVs bright pink in a bid to raise £5,000 for charity. The Palletforce member wants to raise money for Cancer Research UK after the sales department’s Katie Davidson wanted to raise awareness of breast cancer.
Katie said:
“It has been really well received by everyone at Katem and the driver absolutely loves it, all the other drivers are jealous and want a pink truck too.”
Other fundraising activities by the firm have seen colleagues dress as lorry drivers and take part in the annual Boxing Day Dip in the North Sea. The firm’s staff will also be taking part in the Great North Run in September.
Katie further commented:
“The Boxing Day Dip wasn’t as cold as we expected so we did it twice and I even went in all the way up to my neck,
“The support I’ve had from colleagues has been absolutely brilliant and I know everyone will give their all to hit our fundraising target.”
The firm operate out of a 200,000ft² warehouse and offer services including storage, distribution, haulage and warehousing.
