Rhys Davis appoint Gary Philips as commercial manager

HGV driving firm Rhys Davies Freight Logistics have just appointed Gary Philips as their commercial manager and are expecting to expand their freight forwarding arm over the next twelve months.

The Cardiff-based firm have appointed Phillips to increase turnover, and he has the remit not just to boost sales at Rhys Davis Forwarding, but also to improve the profile of the freight forwarding part of the business within the Middle East and Far east markets.

Gary Philips said:

“My aim is to significantly increase the turnover of the division within the next twelve months,

“It’s a tall order, but I’m confident that when companies see what we have to offer in terms of international expertise and technology, we will win their business.”

Rhys Davis Freight Logistics offer a total logistics solution to business, including a nationwide pallet distribution service, a national fleet of over 170 HGVs and 150 trailers and have a network of warehouses placed at strategic positions around the country encompassing over 560,00ft² of storage space.

Recent contract wins for Rhys Davis include the Esselte tender which they won in the face of tough competition from four other fleet companies.
